Steinworld

We decided to go on a family outing for the day to Padstowe, aka Steinworld (home of Rick Stein). It's a really pretty little fishing village and it was a lovely day for sitting on the waterfront drinking Tribute, a Cornish Ale which is my new favourite. Nik reckons she's got a beer belly already and I admit if I stayed much longer I'd probably have one too.

They weren't joking - this really is Steinworld. There is no less than a fish and chip shop, a deli, a fine dining restaurant, a cafe/bistro and a homewares shop. The guy's creaming it.

It was however very pretty and there seemed to be a lovely local competition for which pub could have the biggest and brightest flower baskets.

This is my tourist moment for the postcard shots. That and they were about the only thing to photograph that wasn't owned by Rick Stein...
